Am I required to have a wedding planner?
No, a wedding planner is not required to host your event with us, but we do highly recommend having one-especially for day-of coordination.
What other services can The Alexandrian provide to enhance my wedding weekend?
We offer beautiful spaces for welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, and farewell brunches-all in one location. Room blocks are also available so your guests can stay close and enjoy the full celebration with you.
When do I need confirm my final guest count for my wedding?
Your final guarantee must be received no later than 12:00 PM, 10 business days prior to your wedding. This number will be considered a guarantee, and not subject to reduction, and charges will be made accordingly.

What options are available to host our ceremony at The Alexandrian?
Couples often choose to host their ceremony in our outdoor courtyard-a romantic, brick-lined space adorned with string lighting and historic charm. This beautiful open-air setting sits right in the heart of Old Town, offering an unforgettable backdrop for your special day.
If I need a ceremony officiant, do you have any recommendations?
Yes, we have a list of preferred vendors to share with our couples.
What time can our ceremony start?
Our suggested ceremony start time is 5:00 PM but we're happy to be flexible to best fit your vision, schedule, and the season.
CATERING
What is the process of selecting my menu?
We recommend scheduling your tasting about 4-6 months before your wedding day. We'll work together to build a custom tasting menu, then invite you to the property to sample the selections and finalize your official menu.
Can I customize my menu with items that are not included in your standard wedding menus?
We love hearing your visions and working with our chef's team to create the perfect menu!
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes, we're happy to accommodate dietary restrictions. Just let us know in advance, and our culinary team will ensure personalized options are available for you and your guests
Does The Alexandrian provide my wedding cake?
No, we do not provide a wedding cake to our couples, but we do have a list of recommended bakeries.
Do you permit the use of an outside caterer?
No, we do not allow outside catering at The Alexandrian.
ROOM BLOCKS
Do you provide a reduced rate for our overnight guests?
Yes, our wedding room blocks provide guests with a discounted rate.
Is a room block contract required?
We are happy to extend a courtesy room block agreement for 10-20 rooms, based upon availability. Any additional rooms will need a room block contract commitment with attrition.
What is attrition?
Attrition refers to the minimum number of guest rooms or event spaces you're contractually obligated to book and pay for. If your actual usage falls below this agreed amount, you may be responsible for paying for the difference. It helps venues manage inventory and planning.
